Akan Produções is a Brazilian audiovisual production company that carries out projects, including films, series, exhibitions, training processes and script development. The company is based in Fortaleza, Ceará, and moves between documentaries, fiction, animations and hybrids.

Virna Paz is a screenwriter, director, producer and executive producer. She is the author of the short Gordas, the short As Garotas do Fantástico Não Falam, the short XD-11 and the documentary series O Ano Delas. They all result from his research on fat bodies, archive images, personal archeology and memory.
